Golden A' Design Award Winner 2020
This automotive brochure spread presents two photographs of a red sports sedan arranged vertically on the page. Beginning with the upper image, which occupies approximately sixty percent of the layout, the viewer encounters the vehicle positioned slightly left of center, facing rightward at a three-quarter angle. The car's body exhibits a rich, warm red suggesting polished gemstone or ripened fruit, with chrome and silver accents on the grille, headlamp surrounds, and distinctive multi-spoke wheels that catch available light. Behind the vehicle stretches a panoramic landscape featuring a body of still water in the immediate background, its surface smooth as glass, creating a perfect inverted reflection of the car below. Beyond the water, a mountain range rises in soft silhouette, rendered in cool blue-gray tones suggesting distance and atmospheric haze. The sky above displays dramatic cloud formations in deep charcoal, slate, and hints of violet, creating a moody, contemplative atmosphere with cool temperature throughout except for the warm vehicle. White text in both Latin characters and Japanese script occupies the right portion of the composition, arranged in a clean vertical hierarchy. Moving to the lower image, the perspective shifts to show the rear three-quarter view of the same vehicle navigating a winding mountain road. The road curves from lower left toward upper right, its pale gray surface contrasted against darker mountainsides. The sun appears as a bright warm burst at the horizon line, casting golden-amber light across the scene and creating a backlit silhouette effect on distant peaks. The vehicle appears in motion, with subtle blur suggesting speed and purpose. Typography appears minimally, with a centered phrase in warm tones complementing the sunset palette.
