Colourform Product Exposition

This exhibition space presents a trade show booth displaying bathroom fixtures within a dramatically colored architectural environment, scanning from the outer darkness of the exhibition hall inward toward the warmly illuminated display zones. The dominant visual impression is of enveloping coral pink, a soft warm tone like the interior of a seashell or the flush of sunset clouds, rising in bold geometric walls against the surrounding black void of the exhibition ceiling with its visible industrial infrastructure of tracks and lighting equipment. Beginning at the lower foreground, a highly reflective floor in matching blush pink creates mirror-like reflections of everything above, suggesting the smooth cool surface of polished stone or lacquered material. Upon this luminous floor sit several freestanding bathtubs in pure pristine white, their forms ranging from gently curved organic vessels with flowing oval rims to more angular geometric basins with crisp squared edges, each appearing smooth and cool to the touch like fine porcelain or engineered stone. Two glowing white spheres rest on the floor near the bathtubs, approximately the size of large beach balls, emanating soft warm light that pools around them like moonlight on water. Rising behind the products, tall panels of the coral pink material frame a central rectangular opening, perhaps three meters high and two meters wide, within which a curved cutout creates a portal shape illuminated around its edge by a continuous strip of warm white LED light suggesting a threshold into another zone. Through this portal and through an arched opening visible at left, additional display areas continue the pink and white color story with more products and seating areas glimpsed beyond. A cylindrical column at right features deep burgundy vertical fluting, its rich wine-dark surface providing temperature contrast against the surrounding warmth, rising perhaps two meters with the texture of closely spaced ridges like corrugated material.

The idea of the stand refers to the Mineral Composite technology, the material from which the client's products are made of. Mineral Composite is a combination of dolomite and flexible resin. The Dolomites have formed about 250 million years ago as a result of volcanic activity. Then, under pressure and high temperature, the limestone layers turned into dolomite. Designers focused on dolomite because the rock that was formed millions of years ago is transforming into a beautiful and functional product and it is amazing to see the power of nature.
